Join us for a virtual masterclass designed to help you gain your human edge. The conversation will have two parts -
A 30 minutes fireside conversation with Dr. Marcus Ranney to discuss his latest book - ‘ At The Human Edge’ where he will share inspiring stories of individuals pushing their bodies to extreme levels of performance.
This would be followed by a 30 minutes interactive session where Dr. Ramney will take us through 10 hacks to help enhance productivity and performance in 2021. These are small actions to help you build sustainable habits towards optimizing your physiology and psychology.
Dr. Marcus Ranney is a business professional in healthcare and technology. From sick care to wellbeing, Dr. Marcus Ranney's career journey over the past two decades has led him from the patient's bedside to a wider stage as he now creates a global impact via systemic change. With expeditions taking him to the sides of Everest, skiing in the Arctic and the European Alps, he has served as a medical officer in the Royal Air Force and at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. After practicing clinical medicine in London, in 2010, he made the transition to Mumbai where he has worked within the Healthcare and Life-sciences industry as a Strategic Advisor, Investor, and Operator for a range of MNC and national bellwether firms. Augmenting his contributions towards global health commentary, the Covid-19 pandemic has brought Marcus back to the frontlines of medicine as a medical volunteer for his city’s fight against controlling the virus. A published author, keynote speaker, digital talk show host, and public health commentator, he has been a World Economic Forum’s Global Shaper and is currently a Senior Fellow to the Atlantic Council, working on a project exploring the relationships between the climate crisis and global health.
There are limited spots for the masterclass. You’re requested to RSVP using this link. We'll email the Zoom link to all participants upon receiving your registration. For questions, please write to us at team@ivyplusnetwork.com
Managing your money in the middle of a pandemic is an unprecedented dilemma. Although each individual situation is different, the broad issue is the same: concern about your financial future.
In this Ivy Masterclass, Satyen Kothari will speak about how to build a perfect portfolio. Hint: it does not start with buying a mutual fund. He'll also cover the concept of investing psychology and how to avoid common pitfalls that cheat people of their hard-earned money, all of this with a focus on the current context.
Satyen is the founder of Cube Wealth. At Cube, he advocates simplifying everything related to investing with a well-researched philosophy inspired by the greats like Buffet and Munger. Prior to Cube, Satyen founded 4 companies in India and Silicon Valley. His prior company, Citrus Payments, was sold in 2016 for $130 million, which shoved him in the world of wealth management. He is an alum of Stanford University.

There's something nicely communal about drinking together, even if you're only doing it remotely.
The happy hour will be facilitated by Swati Sahni, Founder of IvyPlus Network & Aakanksha Kapoor, Founder of Minds at Play, which works to address the lack of preventative mental health care in schools in India.

A conversation for us to dive deep on how we can take care of our emotional wellbeing in the present time. These are difficult and uncertain times where fear, panic, sadness and numbing are rampant. These are also opportunities to go beyond our ideas of what we are capable of living through. Let’s come together to find ways to proactively respond rather than react to the current scenario at an inner personal level, as well as with the external world.
The session will be facilitated by Natasha Nair Gupta, an Integral Psychotherapist who brings together eclectic approaches that work with the body, mind, emotions and our deeper selves to help people take responsibility for whom they choose to be. Natasha was trained at the California Institute of Integral Studies, a pioneer in transpersonal studies. Subsequently, she trained in Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing in Europe, that aims at resolving health problems by focusing on releasing the trauma shock stuck in the body.
The session will be conducted on Saturday, March 28 from 12 pm - 1.30 pm IST for 15 IvyPlus Members online on Zoom. You'll need to download Zoom on your laptop or phone and join using the meeting ID, which will be emailed to confirmed attendees.

Behavioural Economics combines some of the best ideas in Economics, Psychology and other social sciences to improve our understanding of the decision-making process - both rational and irrational. In the current world full of screens and unlimited choice, understanding the patterns and pitfalls of human decision-making is key. As humans, we have limited brainpower and often take shortcuts to conserve that brainpower for certain decisions.
This workshop explores a core set of those shortcuts – “heuristics” – and predictable errors – “biases” – to provide participants with the psychological foundation for smarter decision-making, product design and marketing communications.
Key Takeaways -
Who it’s for - Founders, Products Managers, Marketing and Sales Professionals

Facilitators: Beast Global is a team of behavioural economists, advisors and mentors, with a passion and expertise for applying behavioural insights within the Global South.
