Hi there,

Welcome to the IvyPlus blog!

Over the past few years, I’ve had the chance to meet most, if not all of you at our social and professional networking events across the country. Some of you may already have heard this, but I want to share the story of how IvyPlus Network was born.

In 2013, I graduated from Harvard and came back to Delhi, the city I call home. Of course, I was thrilled to be back, but I found myself missing parts of my life from Graduate school. It was great to reconnect with old friends, but I missed the rush that you get from connecting with new people from diverse backgrounds. On the one hand, it was amazing to be back in India, a country brimming with immense possibilities, but I missed a community of like-minded people to share ideas and experiences with.

I realized what was missing – those interactions with a large and evolving peer group who studied abroad with me and shared similar experiences. There was room for an ecosystem consistently churning out opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration among smart and driven people.

In February 2014, I planned a networking mixer with some friends, and so IvyPlus was born. What started as a modest fundraiser for a brilliant organization called Yuwa (do check them out), has today expanded to a community of 10000+ alumni members from all the top global universities. We have now grown well beyond the capital city, connecting alumni from the best global universities in 8 cities across India & Dubai, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad & Hyderabad.

Our network has helped many amongst you find jobs, professional partners and other enriching opportunities. We give friends, old and new, a chance to connect, talk shop, create memories, tap the brightest minds, engage in meaningful conversations and more.

We pride ourselves in breaking down silos and fostering collaboration amongst people from diverse backgrounds. Today at any IvyPlus gathering, you won’t just see the MBAs hanging out together. Walk up to any group, and it’s likely you’ll meet folks from law, public policy, finance, technology, and other fields, immersed in a conversation. Enabling this cross-pollination of ideas and networks is the core of what we do at IvyPlus Network.

We are now taking a leap forward to organize these opportunities for you. Our new offerings include Ivy Plus Careers, where we'll post jobs from the top employers of every industry and this blog, where we'll feature thought leaders from our network & publish their ideas.

We hope to keep doing all this and more. So when you’re not in person with us at one of our events, come to this space and hear all about it from the community.
